Campsite views: Davis Mountains State Park Site 49

Davis Mountains State Park site 49

Over the Christmas holiday break, we drove the van down to Big Bend National Park in Texas, and then drove west across Texas to New Mexico before trekking back home. On the journey west through Texas we stopped for a night at Davis Mountains State Park, just outside of Fort Davis, TX.

The campground was really nice with clean showers, and larger sites that were spread out with electric and water. Our site was nestled in between hills with access to hiking trails. We did see two javelina in the brush while walking the dog in the early morning which was a little unnerving, but they didn’t bother us thankfully.

We stayed in site 49. I didn’t take many photos, but thought I’d share the few I did take in case it helps anyone deciding on a site.
