We’ve been doing a lot of painting around the house lately, giving some rooms a nice refresh. We originally painted the entire house when we moved in 6 years ago, but of course styles are changing and there’s a bit of general wear and tear on the walls.

Recently we repainted our master bedroom. We love Sherwin Williams, and get all our paint from our local store. I knew we would again be buying Sherwin Williams paint, so I started searching on Pinterest, Houzz, and Instagram for ideas on color schemes. Once I had an idea of the color we were going for, I started doing Google searches for real life examples of rooms with those colors. I even created a franken-comp version of what the room might look like utilizing my design tools for work.

We ended up going with Sherwin Williams Cyberspace (SW 7076). Originally I was afraid it might be too dark, but the rest of our house is pretty neutral grey, and I wanted something a little different. We have two windows, and 4 white doors in the room, so I figured that would help break up the darkness.

I am in love with the finished product! The color looks a lot more blue than the virtual rooms on the Sherwin Williams website, but I’m still happy with the end result. I wanted to share a few pictures with you all in case anyone is out there doing the same thing I did before painting. Hopefully this gives you an idea of how the paint color might look in your own space.
